framing our vows

sooooo i am sucker for sentimental artwork.

i have been known to make some personalized artwork for friend's wedding gifts. [check out my DIY section].

writing personal vows was a huge part of our ceremony. we feel like our commitment to each other couldn't be adequately expressed in traditional vows. so after the ceremony we took the physical vows that we read from on our wedding day and had them custom framed at Michaels. we selected a brown and black frame so that it will match whatever decor we use in our bedroom over the years with a thick cream matte.

we hung the artwork in our bedroom. each morning when we wake up and pass it and each night when we go to bed we are reminded of the vows we made that day. keeps our love alive.

here is the finished product:
i love that mine are handwritten & ian's are typed and folded
matches our difference in personalities

here is a zoom in on the plaque

when we finally get around to painting our bedroom and actually making things match i plan to paint a big swatch behind the frame a different color from the rest of the paint to highlight it and make it stand out.
