Wedding Program Christmas Ornament

I found this idea on pinterest long before I was married or even engaged, but I love the idea for three reasons!!

1. I love Christmas!!! - it truly is the most wonderful time of the year!
2. I love my husband!!! - getting married has been a dream come true and I realize on a daily basis how fortunate we are to share this beautiful life together! [I don't tell [i] enough how handsome he is and how lucky I feel!!]
 3. I am incredibly sentimental!!! - being able to reminisce each year as we pull this ornament out of the box will be a wonderful reminder of our wedding day and how far we have come as a couple!!

Here is the original wedding invitation ornament. I modified it by using our program because we never sent out invitation because our "first" wedding was intimate and family only. I plan to do this again for our wedding next year!! This would make a wonderful DIY gift idea using any big life event memorabilia - wedding invitation or program, birth announcement,  graduation invitations or programs, etc.

What you will need:
-Scissors (I used a FISKARS paper cutter - totally worth the investment)
-Clear glass/plastic ornament
-Paper based memorabilia
-Pen

Steps:
-Determine how you would like the words/paper to look while inside the ornament and cut along the paper source accordingly
-Wrap paper around pen
-Place into ornament
-Decorate with charms or ribbon
Supplies

 Cutting the pieces

My lovely husby wrapping pieces around the pen

Starting to fill it up <3

[i'm a little obsessed still]

Final finished product!

Displayed on the fancy upstairs tree that is decorated with a pearl, silver, ivory, burgundy theme!! It fits in perfectly with the ivory card stock and pretty metallic accents!
