Graduation Weekend: Wilmot Family Christmas, RR Christmas Party, Graduation Party & Thanksgiving Re-do - Part 3

On Saturday of graduation weekend we were B-USY!

After sleeping in a little bit we headed to Iowa City to celebrate my "nephew" Nash's first birthday and Christmas with my extended family. It was a blast. I was able to play all day with my not so baby nephews anymore. They are up wobbling around now, getting into everything! Seriously check out how cute they are!!

I also inherited these holiday dishes from my grandmother! They will be great for a dinner party - or a wine and cheese party. This idea has been thrown around our group of friends for a while. Now I guess we have an excuse to host!!

We returned home to prepare for the Raining Rose Company Christmas Party! I love any excuse to get dressed up and this weekend provided lots of opportunity for that! I must say that our outfits could not have coordinated any better had we wished for it! Dinner and drinks were served at the National Czech & Slovack Museum & Library. It was beautiful and a fun chance to get to know some of Ian's co-workers. I am so proud of the accomplishments he has achieved so far in his career and I welcome any opportunity to celebrate him and the company he loves and dedicates so much of his time to! I love celebrating the Christmas season!!! Wishing you and yours a happy holiday!

On Sunday of graduation weekend we hosted our families for a celebration of sorts. Per Ms. Evan's request we were able to "re-do" the Thanksgiving feast so that she could enjoy it now that she has recovered from her tonsillectomy. We had a feast of ham, green bean casserole, cheesy potatoes, stuffing, biscuits and sweet potatoes. Topped off with pumpkin pie and my favorite cake (which has made quite a few appearances in my life lately, most recently at our wedding!!). And to remind us how much we love being home owners our garbage disposable backed up. Thank you shout out to my multi-talented husband who quickly changed and took care of this mess! I even attempted to help a little - after the yucky part was over.

Fixing the clogged sink. Yuck!

Opening cards!!

Me and my momma!!

The beautiful watch from my momma and John - yes those are REAL diamonds!! I feel so blessed!! It is gorgeous!

My Christmas Cactus from the Flynns!

Beautiful Hawkeye Flowers from my bubby!!

Here is my FAVORITE cake! Which doubles as our wedding cake - & as it was our 1 month anniversary on Sunday I would say it was a perfect end to one of the best weekends of my life!

Happy One Month of married bliss! :)

Taking a moment to reflect on the challenges and triumphs during PT school with my family was wonderful. They truly take as much pride in this accomplishment as I do. And of course no celebration would be complete without a few cards and gifts! (I could really get used to this - between my birthday & engagement, wedding, graduation and the holidays we have gotten a tremendous amount of mail! ps. if you didn't know this about me I LOVE GETTING MAIL!! It seriously brightens my day so much!) Thank you to every person who has sent my congratulations through snail mail, e-mail & facebook! I genuinely appreciate all of you!

PS. On Monday my graduation present from my one and only arrived. Such a PERFECT gift!  A tripod. We are professional self picture takers but this will help us so much!! Can't wait to use it over Christmas!!
