life goals

I began my third and FINAL clinical this past week. and i LOVED every single  minute of it. i am working 4 - 10 hour shifts Tuesday-Friday. It makes for longer evenings but i have learned so much.

this clinical is incredible. they have structured learning, objective goals for their students. (you have assigned readings each week, one on one lectures with staff and plenty of chances to practice what you know - and continue to develop new skills). tomorrow is the starts my second week and my introduction to aquatics through this facility. I have actually had the luxury of doing aquatics at every one of my terminal clinicals - unique but also lots of fun. i can't wait to take on the challenges for this week.

if i have learned anything thus far it is that i am perfectly suited to work in peds. since beginning this clinical i have smiled and cried - but more importantly i come home with less stress and more enthusiasm for life. to be in a position where you absolutely love what you do is such a wonderful feeling. regardless of where i end up working in approaching months i know that eventually i will get a full time job working with kiddos and i will strive to be an expert in my practice area. :)

ian has also had a busy start to his week. the move is finally complete (i think!). the raining rose staff is very happy to be under one very new roof. as production officially starts ian has had to be available to assist with any hiccups along the way. he is my inspiration  always greets me with a smile at the end of the day & a hug and kiss goodbye every morning. mondays we get to eat lunch together since i am not working and so far we appreciate the extra moment in the week we get to spend together. seriously, how did we get so lucky!!

happy monday everyone. hope your day was as wonderful as mine.
despite the crazy, unreal amount of stress i am under i have found a way to enjoy the little moments in life - in between studying of course.
