weekly update

we have been pretty busy around the Flynn house lately - sorry for going so long without an update! last weekend Evan stayed with us and it was so much fun to catch up with her. i love spending time with my sister. She is the sister I always dreamed of having growing up! and i could never express how much i love her! we spent Friday night playing Ian's new favorite game Power Grid! and I have to admit it is pretty fun and slightly addicting. on Saturday Ian and Ev spend the morning studying together. i love seeing Ian in his element. he is an amazing mentor and a very patient teacher. and I know he will seriously make the best father someday. knowing that makes me love him even MORE!

saturday was also the 1st year anniversary of moving into our little love nest.
hard to believe it's already been a year!
ps. i wish our grass looked like that right now!

we also upgraded to iphones! Whoot whoot! Ian has had the iphone 3 since i have known him, it is crazy how well that thing still worked considering all it's been through! we were both ready for the transition!

and we hosted Easter at our house on sunday! this was the first holiday we hosted in our new home so i think it will always be a special one as long as we live in this little house! we got some more adorable gifts from our parents and everyone brought lots of goodies and food for the potluck! Evan kept the tradition of Resurrection rolls going for breakfast and we added a new tradition of drinking Shirley Temples! we made deviled easter eggs by dying the egg whites. the colors turned out GREAT the flavor was a straight B though. Oh well! it was fun and that's the best part! next year we decided we are decorating hard boiled eggs or at least egg shells!

some of the cute details:

the week was pretty busy! I worked 3 full days and had a meeting on the another day - it is an exciting transition to working full time! most evening we had meetings with financial planners, loan officers, and car salesmen. but all the hard work was worth it! we are now the incredibly proud owners of two working vehicles again! ian and i purchased a 2010 chevy malibu and i am incredibly proud!!!! it isn't fancy, but it is very "megan": practical, efficient, safe, reliable! [this is of course reflecting my general personality - not necessarily my driving]. it has been a JOY to drive it work already! i also found out wonderful news at work this week that  i will begin to work full-time in May (which was already established) and continue to work full-time following the maternity leave that i covering. so we have been incredibly happy around our house! it was quite an eventful and exciting week. [or start of my birthday month!]
